II work with adults and older adults navigating trauma, grief, PTSD,anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. My approach is rootedin deep listening, respect for your lived experience, and theunderstanding that healing is relational—within yourself, with others, and with the natural world that holds us.  My work centers thecomplexities of these experiences and offers a grounded, compassionatespace where you can process what has happened, reconnect with yourstrengths, and move toward a sense of stability and meaning.

I also use a strength-based and narrative therapy approach, centering your story and honoring your culture, values, and inherent resilience. Together, we will explore the narratives that have shaped you,
including those formed through trauma and loss, and gently reauthor the ones that no longer support your wellbeing. I integrate nature-based metaphors, mindfulness, and guided meditation to help
regulate the nervous system, access internal resources, and reconnect with what feels steady and meaningful.

My style is calm, collaborative, and steady. I offer a space where your experiences can be understood, where grief and trauma can be held with care, and where healing and change feel possible. I look forward
to meeting you and hearing your story.

Sonya works with adults from to 18-100. She is

conversationally fluent in Spanish.
